  1. are you able to tell me what your outside grey tiles are – I think they look great

    • Hi Sammy,

are you talking about the ground tiles or the stackstones on our pillars? the stackstones are from Austral (we asked to get those) there are a few different colours for them. Di Lorenzo has some too, different types though, i think. the ground tiles are from di lorenzo, DC 1533 in 30×60. we love both of these tiles! they both look great :p

      Hope that helped!

  2. Hello,

How are you. Just wanted to know what your opinion was of Wisdom homes. We love them but we seem to have found quite a bit of bad online press. Were they good? Did you go over budget or were their estimates good? Were their site costs above the covered amounts?

I hope you get a chance to let me know. Would love some advise from someone who just built with them.

    Thanks
    Claudia

    • Hi Claudia,

We’re pretty happy with the overall job that Wisdom Homes has done.

We didn’t have any unexpected costs. Whatever was in the tender was what we were charged. Just make sure that you budget for flooring if you plan to upgrade from their standard range. Just note that Di Lorenzo charges extra on a lot of things, so make sure to budget that in. Also, make sure that if you add something during the tender phase, make sure that it is detailed enough so that you don’t get caught on technicalities. Just like any business deal, ensure everything is in writing. That being said, if you are reasonable, they will compromise with you to solve any issue.

Regarding site costs, we had no unforeseen site costs. After our site survey, we were told we needed a P class slab and was told of the extra costs associated (before signing of tender).

I hope this information was helpful to you. Let me know if you have any further questions and I’d be happy to answer them to the best of my ability.

      Regards,
      cielly
